Post Connector | DDA Compliant Key Clamp | 42mm

The DDA-3 Post Connector key clamp is a fitting which facilitates the creation an offset (smooth) 42mm rail from a 48mm upright post.  The clamp is designed for use with 42.4mm tube (saddle) and 48.3mm clamps, and is specifically designed for use on a handrail system that is required to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the Building Regulations Pt. M:2004.

This fitting is most commonly used in the creation of the support for the horizontal 42mm rails through connection to an upright post.

The fitting is designed to be inserted into an A006/8 fitting as a support for the 42mm top rail and also an A002/8 to act as a support for lower level rails.

NB - Please note that these fittings are stocked in a galvanised finish.  In order to meet with the criteria of the regulations (whereby a requirement to 'visually contrast with the surroundings') it is strongly recommended that all components in a DDA compliant handrail system are polyester powder coated.  We offer a powder coating service - please contact us with your requirements.
