This fitting is an offset side palm base fixing for fixing level or sloping guardrails of 48.3mm to walls, steps ramps etc.  Access to the top fixing is restricted; it is recommended that a threaded stud is fixed first with a maximum projection of 25mm.

 The tube is unable to pass through this fitting as supplied, should this be required then the base must be reamed out
