Flush 90 Degree Elbow | DDA Compliant Key Clamp | 42mm
This key clamp fitting is a flush 90 degree elbow to suit 42.4mm diameter tube specifically designed for use on a handrail system that is required to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the Building Regulations Pt. M:2004.
The most common uses for the elbow is for the construction of a 'D' end loop at the termination of a run or for where the direction of the rails are required to turn through 90 degrees.
As the elbow is designed to be 'flush' with the 42mm rails, 2 no. A009/7 or 2 no. EL/7 fittings are required to be used in conjunction to effect a connection to the tube at either side of the elbow.
NB - Please note that these fittings are stocked in a galvanised finish. In order to meet with the criteria of the regulations (whereby a requirement to 'visually contrast with the surroundings') it is strongly recommended that all components in a DDA compliant handrail system are polyester powder coated. We offer a powder coating service - please contact us with your requirements.
