End Post Termination | DDA Compliant Key Clamp | 42mm
The DDA-4 End Post termination clamp is designed for the end of a run of handrailing which stops at the last upright post. The clamp is designed for use with 42.4mm tube and 48.3mm clamps, and is specifically designed for use on a handrail system that is required to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the Building Regulations Pt. M:2004.
This fitting is most commonly used to terminate a run of handrail at the last upright post as opposed to a wall termination (using A010/7 Round Wall Plates) or a 'D' end loop (using DDA-1 fittings).
The fitting is designed to be inserted into an A006/8 fitting or A002/8 fitting (located on the upright post) at one end and connected to the 42mm rail (through the use of an A009/7 or EL/7) at the other end.
NB - Please note that these fittings are stocked in a galvanised finish. In order to meet with the criteria of the regulations (whereby a requirement to 'visually contrast with the surroundings') it is strongly recommended that all components in a DDA compliant handrail system are polyester powder coated. We offer a powder coating service - please contact us with your requirements.
